About Us
The Conference of Academies and Higher Schools (abbreviated: KASSS), represents a roof organization that, in accordance with the Law on Higher Education of the Republic of Serbia, unites, represents, and improves the work of all vocational higher education institutions.
Our Responsibilities and Role in the System
We act within the framework established by law, which grants higher education a status of particular importance for the Republic of Serbia. As a representative body, our role is defined by legal frameworks, and particularly stands out through our participation in the work of the National Council for Higher Education. In this way, we ensure that the voice of the vocational sector is directly represented in the processes:
- Ensuring the development and improvement of the quality of higher education.
- Establishing standards and procedures for ensuring quality.
- Aligning systems with the European space of higher education.
Support for Development
The conference supports the work of higher education institutions in realizing their autonomy, including the right to establish study programs, organize internal structure, and select faculty. We are proud to represent a bridge between the academic community, industry, and state institutions.
