1st Webinar: How to award the Joint European Degree Label – Interpreting the operational guide.
The Joint European Degree Label is a new EU label awarded to joint programmes leading to joint degrees delivered by consortia of higher education institutions from at least two EU Member States. Established through a Council Recommendation in May 2025, the label recognises programmes that meet the highest standards of joint programme design and delivery, and reflect a distinctly European dimension.
This webinar opens the webinar series on the Joint European Degree Label and offers an introduction to how the label will work in practice. The European Commission and experts who contributed to drafting the operational guide will discuss the objectives and the added value of the label. They will then walk the participants step-by-step through the process of assessment of joint programmes and explain how to read and interpret the criteria.
The session is designed for quality assurance professionals, including representatives of quality assurance agencies, higher education institutions, and European Approach evaluators.
The webinar is organised by the European Commission, with support from PPMI/part of the Verian Group and ICF.
